"Frascati is a lovely town in one of the seven hills surrounding Rome and also gives it name to one of the first and most famous Italian wines. The wine is made blending several grapes together, of which the main one is called Malvasia - used in the making of several wines but only recently started to be a wine on its own.The vineyards of l’Olivella, a small estate, are planted on a soil of volcanic origin that encourages the growth of sound vines. All grapes used to produce this Racemo Bianco Frascati Superiore, are superior resulting a better wine. This tends to mean a greater proportion of Malvasia and an higher alcohol volume.The grapes used to make this Frascati Superiore are mainly Malvasia blended with a small percentage of Trebbiano del Lazio. The result is a real Frascati, very dry, of a medium gold color, fruity and persistent on the nose."
